Don Baker has been a freelance artist and illustrator in Seattle since 1983. He graduated from Spokane Falls Community College in 1978 with a 3-year degree in illustration & design. My work is inspired by travels to the canyonlands of the Southwest United States, the Olympic Peninsula, Mexico and Costa Rica. I am inspired by all kinds of primitive and aboriginal art. In my free time I like to sketch, read, create fine artwork, play West

African hand drums, congas, and electric guitar. My illustration work has appeared on the cover of The Weekly, Seattle¹s Best Places, Seattle Boychoir music CD, and has been featured in Communication Arts magazine, Print, The Society of Illustrators and the Museum of Modern Art in New York.
